By entering the UWN SHSS island you must agree and comply with the following code of conduct and terms of use, failure to do so will result in your avatar being banned from the island and, if you are employee or student of the university, may result in disciplinary actions being taken if your behaviour is found to be in breach of the University's IT Acceptable Use Policy.
- Respect: It is expected that you will be respectful of differing opinions and backgrounds. Healthy disagreement and debate is encouraged. But please refrain from making insulting or personally disrespectful comments towards others otherwise you will be asked to leave.
- Selling: The selling of goods and services on the UWN SHSS island is strictly prohibited. Anyone attempting to do so will receive an immediate ban from the island.
- Building and placing objects: You are not permitted to build or place objects on any part of the UWN SHSS island unless you have been allocated one of the flexible learning spaces to work in. If you have been allocated a flexible learning space then you are encouraged to build on it if you wish to.
- Appropriate behaviour: UWN SHSS Island is a PG island, which means that all sexual behavior is prohibited. Avatars that proposition or make suggestive remarks to other avatars on UWN SHSS island either in public chat or via IM will be banned. In addition all avatar must be appropriately dressed at all times and the use of guns and other such objects or items which can be used to grief, harass, offend or intimidate others is also strictly prohibited.
- Acknowledgement: The school must be
credited/acknowledged as a contributor to any research and/or resulting
publications/lectures/posters undertaken on or using the SHSS ISLAND.
- Use of screen shots, audio or video taken on the island: Videos, sounds and pictures taken of the island my be used according to the following Creative Commons licence:

No Derivative Works. You may not alter, transform, or build upon this work.
