Connor Seay's Eagle Project

Motor City Youth Theater Website

Home

My name is Connor Seay from Boy Scout Troop 782. I am working on my Eagle Scout project. To become an Eagle Scout, one must run a service project that is approved by the council. My Eagle Scout project involves making cosmetic repairs and painting the exterior of the Grantland Street Playhouse in Livonia MI, which is the home of the Motor City Youth Theatre, a non-profit organization.

I chose this project because it is a youth theater that works tirelessly to teach the art of theater and I feel it is a worthwhile cause. The owners, Fred and Nancy Florkowski, pour their hearts into the theater and I want to help them.

My project will require soliciting donations of materials and specialized labor from local businesses. Any required materials that are not donated will need to be purchased using funds from monetary donations and fund raising if necessary. The estimated general labor will be a minimum of 140 man hours provided by Boy Scouts, friends, family, theater members, and others.
