History of A Season for Nonviolence, Long Beach

On January 9, 2007, Long Beach City Council unanimously adopted a motion led by Councilmember Suja Lowenthal to officially recognize and support A Season for Nonviolence (January 30 - April 4), a 64-day campaign dedicated to demonstrating how non-violence can powerfully heal, transform and empower lives and communities.
