Instructions for Windows XP on how to access a SDHS sub domain.

Commonly on the desktop you'll find "My Network Places".  Open it with a double click.
Open "Add Network Place".
Click "Next".
Select "Choose another network location" and click "Next".
Type in the complete website address.  e.g. http://example.sdhs.sandi.net  Click "Next".
A user name/password prompt will appear.  Unless otherwise assigned use your regular on campus account.  The exception here is that in the "User Name" field prefix your account with "sdhs\".  e.g. sdhs\example and then your regular password on the second field.  I would highly suggest checking the box for saving the password.  It will ask for the password three to four times during this process.
A prompt to choose the name for the network place will appear.  Use anything you like or leave it as-is.  Click "Next" and then "Finish".
If for any reason you type in a different user name/password during this process it will fail.  The authentication will be sporadic and you won't be able to upload files.  If this happens erase the newly created shortcut and begin anew.  This shortcut gives you direct access to the website directory allowing you to drag and drop files like any other folder.  Make sure that your home page is labeled index.htm, index.html or default.htm.
