There are 4 steps to the I-Search Method: 1. Selecting a topic - exploring interests, discussing ideas, browsing resources. In this lesson, your topic should be related to your chosen play. You should be exploring how culture/experiences shaped the playwright/play/setting/characters. Start looking at some of the resources introduced by Media Specialist. 2. Finding information - generating questions, exploring resources You should break into your groups and discuss what kind of questions you want to know. Some questions you may ask are: Why did the playwright write this play? Is there a story behind it? Did the characters/events reflect something that was currently happening in that time period? Start looking at possible resources for answers. 3. Using information - taking notes, analyzing materials You should be gathering information and analyzing what you have. Does it give you a better insight into the play? How can it help you write your script? 4. Developing a final product - developing communications, sharing experiences Write and film script with team members. Final products will be shared with the class. |
