Feedback will be gathered from the students by asking them to evaluate themselves and their team members. Students will be asked to consider questions such as:
- How did your team work together?
- Do you feel everyone contributed the same. Why or why not?
- Did you run into any problems during the project-how did you solve them?
Students should turn in a half page evaluation for each person. They will also be asked to tell what they think what grade each person should receive.
Students will also be asked to complete a survey regarding the lesson plan. Some of the questions they will be asked are:
- How would you rate the enjoyment of the project (1-5, 5 being the highest)
- Would they consider doing the project again in the future? Why or why not?
- Name one thing you liked about the project.
- Name one thing you did not like about the project.
- What struggles they met along the way?
- Do you feel you have a better understanding on how to write a script? Why or why not?
- Anything you wish you could have done, but did not?
- Do you feel the I-Search Method made research easier or harder? Why?
- Give some examples of ways the lesson could be improved.
The Media Specialist and teacher will also sit down to assess the project individually and then together. Some questions to ask are:
- Did we noticed areas that students struggled or exceeded with?
- What problems did we run into?
- Did the end products reflect quality work?
- What improvement we would like to see?
- We will also give thought to new resources that can improve/change the way the lesson is taught.
The last thing that we will discuss is how we felt the collaboration
went. The questions we will ask are:
- Are there areas that we need to improve with each other?
- Did the
Media Specialist feel comfortable teaching what they did?
- Are there
areas they would like to participate in more/less?
- Is there anything I would like to see more of from the Media Specialist?
- Overall, how do we
feel the collaboration went?
