It is a cognitive-behavioural approach that is particularly suitable for personal/life, performance, executive and health coaching. This workshop introduces the basic theory and practice of Rational Coaching and includes the ABCDEF coaching framework for assessment and intervention for enhancing performance, increasing resilience and managing stress. This workshop will also provide skills practice for practitioners who want to integrate a range of Rational Coaching skills within their coaching psychology and coaching practice. The objectives of this workshop are: Workshop Facilitator: Professor Stephen Palmer PhD is a Chartered Psychologist, an APECS Accredited Executive Coach and Supervisor, a Society for Coaching Psychology Accredited Coaching Psychologist, and Accredited Rational Emotive Behaviour Practice Supervisor and Fellow of the Association for Coaching. He has written or edited 35 books including the Handbook of Coaching Psychology: A Guide for Practitioners (with Whybrow, 2007) and Stress Counselling: A Rational Emotive Behaviour Approach (with Ellis et al. 1997). He is UK Co-ordinating Editor of the International Coaching Psychology Review, and Executive Editor of Coaching: An International Journal of Theory, Research and Practice. He is Director of the Coaching Psychology Unit at City University and Director of the Centre for Coaching, London. He was the first Chair of the BPS Special Group in Coaching Psychology. |
