Programme Archive

The Archive records what we have done this current academic year. Sometimes, however, I just copy the programme across without editing/comment. I know I should try harder...

    • Please bring photos (or email them to me) that you took on Trek.
  • Amazing opportunity
    • A local man, who is now in his 90s, has asked whether we would like to hear his Scouting story.
    • One of his claims to fame is that he shook hands with Baden Powell.
    • Let's decide how we could make this a memorable event for everyone.
  • Some lads may like to complete the Writer Activity Badge (and/or Public Relations Activity Badge) building on these themes.
  • We need to finalise sketches for AGM and I need help to list what we have done this last year.
  • Why don't we start a Scout Section Diary! Sounds like a job for the Patrol Leaders.
  • I want a Troop Leadership Forum TLF, with SPL, PLs and APLs, to discuss program for rest of term and to develop the roles and responsibilities of the SPL and PLs.
  • We still need to review comments from Summer end of term letter. Perhaps do that in TLF.
  • Plan Bivi camp - design Bivi, set budget and create shopping list.
  • JOTA, what do we want to do?

Sun 2-Oct - "The Trek 2011"

  • This fantastic event is run by Redditch District Scouts. We did it last in 2009 and those who did it will have fond memories of a great day out.
"The TREK is a tough incident hike run in and around the Inkberrow area.
Now in its 28th year, the TREK is open to teams of three from the SCOUT and GUIDE movement.
The competition will give you the opportunity to test your knowledge and skill at a variety of base activities, anything from quizzes to races to traditional scouting skills.
The competition is open to 60 teams on a first come first served basis.  Please send in your entry in plenty of time to avoid disappointment."
