~ for the Lottie Moon Offering for International Missions to be received in December enabling us to “go and teach all nations” as we share with our missionaries around the world!

 

We currently have a list of 24 members of our church who are homebound or in a rest home or assisted living home.  A list of these members along with addresses and telephone numbers is available in the vestibule.  Please take the time to make contact with these members who have meant so much in the ministry of our church through the years.  Please also pray that in the near future we can begin a ministry of going into the homes of our homebound to share God’s Word and prayer with them. 

 Our church is on a rotation schedule to worship with our rest homes and assisted living homes on a regular basis.  Our next scheduled rest home worship is with Morningstar Assisted Living on Sunday afternoon, December 18, 2:00 PM.

Our loving brother James Hooper passed away Monday night after a long battle against cancer. Please be in prayer for his family. Visitation will be held at SCBC from 12-2pm on Friday, October 14th, with services immediately following at 2pm.

God continues to bless as we give Him the honor and praise for everything accomplished at Scotts Creek Baptist Church.  This month we are thankful for:

† the receiving of funds making our total for the ceiling project $89,036.08 as of September 25!

† the payment of all pledges except for $150.00!

† the first payment on our short-term loan—we  were able to pay $10,000.00 (1/3 of the amount borrowed)!
