- Don't fertilise old lawns because they can support diverse assemblages of grassland fungi
- Increase the amount of large deadwood if you're lucky enough to manage a woodland
- Follow the Scottish Wild Mushroom Collecting Code
- Get involved with the Scottish database cleaning project - you don't need to be an expert mycologist!
- Run a local foray - again, you don't need to be an expert to do this and there is plenty of advice to hand.
