The Sheridan College Music Technology Program offers a comprehensive course of study that leads to a Certificate of Completion in Music Technology. The curriculum focuses on recording arts, digital audio production and editing, music engraving, performance and self-promotion. Our students have access to some of the latest hardware and software in our newly-remodeled multimedia lab, and they enjoy a low student-to-teacher ratio, affordable tuition rates, and a scenic campus situated at the base of the Big Horn Mountains. The certificate has a number of attractive features that are collectively unique to this particular program:
*The certificate has a basic musicianship requirement that can be satisfied by enrollment, completion, or testing out of MUSC 1010 Music Fundamentals (2 credits). It can also be satisfied by enrollment or completion of MUSC 1030 Written Theory I (3 credits) and keyboard instruction (either MUSC 1300 Class Piano I (1 credit) or MUSC 1073 Private Lessons-Piano (2 credits)). All applicable courses for satisfying this requirement are offered during fall semesters.
