Meeting called to order 12:15 Introductions and Ice-breakers untill 12:30. Ana motions that meetings be held for the entirety of lunch on a biweekly basis. Shannon seconds. AF NO Discussion of Calender/ Events Ana moves to host Freshman mixer Friday, Sept. 25. Max Seconds Shannon Opposed, all else in favor, motion passes Robert moves for the first Inter-Club Summit Meeting to be held Tuesday Sept 22 at 8:30. Victoria suggests Friday September 19 at 8:20 Ana motions that September 19 be the primary date for the ICS, with Septermber 22 as the secondary date. Gina Seconds AF NO Shannon motions to collaborate with KQSA toward participation in Gamers Night Gina Seconds AF NO Ana moves that due to lack of time to complete meeting agenda, the current meeting be continued at 8:20 Friday Sept. 5. Due to conflicting Student Schedules, the leadership of student council ammended the re convening of the meeting for 8:20 Tuesday Sept.8.
Meeting called to order 8:28. Gina moves to host Freshman Elections Oct. 6. In order to give freshman adequate time to campaing during and after Freshman Mixer. Chad Seconds AF NO Judith suggests that Student Council make the upcomming Beach Cleanup avaliable to all students Robert warns of potential liability issues. Gina moves that Stu-Co host a winter Event Friday, December 11. Todd Seconds AF NO Multiple motions made for the establishment of various year long, and short order commities. List for sign up posted in Mr. Danielsons room Robert proposes a question and answer period to accertain the desires of students regarding Stu-Co activites Discussion of Shirts/ Logos Discussions of Calenders Daniel agrees to research low cost, customizable calenders. Committes gave reports from meetings the preceding week: Student Body/ Club Coordination- showed an example of forms to be passed out to various clubs before Interclub Summit, First BLA meeting with student body to be held during tutorial Friday, 9/18 (moved due to Freshman: Make it Count meeting) Food/ Drinks/ Costs- Student council will not be selling snacks. We will sell pizza and various soft drinks/ water. Joseph Garza moved to approve the pricing and quantities put forth by the Food/Drinks/Cost committee (contact Becca Salinas for a copy) Audrey Wright seconds AF NO 15 people can attend the TASC state conference ($90 per person) T-shirt logos passed around for future voting. Ana Smith moves that stuco members pay 75 % of the cost of the shirt and subsidize the rest of the cost from the Stu-Co budget. Audrey Wright seconds AF NO It is addressed that we need to discuss community service (Beach clean-up may not be an option according to Nancy Yi) Adrian suggests that Stu-Co sell snacks / drinks at campus 5K It is deciding that this would be detrimental to any P.E. club fundraising efforts, and Stu-Co will not sell anything. Meeting called to order 12:29 Becca reviewed prices of merchandise to sell at dance: Pizza $1, Drinks $ .75, Bracelets $. 50, Glowsticks/ Necklaces $1. Darshan reviewed floor planes/ reminded everyone to take paper airplanes for decorations to Danielsons Additions made to merchandise shifts/ perchasing duties: ** These are in ADDITION to the list previously sent** Daniel will buy glow sticks Nancy Yi will sell from 7:30-8:30 Victoria and Justin will sell from 8:30-9:30 Justin and Albert will buy Dr. Pepper Ana and Justin will buy Mountain Dew Nancy will buy water We WILL have gaming at the mixer. Game Systems will be provided by: Todd (XBOX 360) Olivia(Wii) Ana (PS2) Ana moved that we allow Astronomy club to sell after 7:30. AF NO EVERYONE must help set up/ clean up We will ask to borrow Weigles air pressurizer. Those who can should get a pass from 4th period We need to ask to borrow a ladder Mr. Danielson cannot sponsor us for the Beach clean up, so we need to find another sponsor. 2 Freshman in attendance at beginning of meeting Danielson suggests that Freshman elections be pushed to the week after the first 9 weeks Dharshan suggests advertising over the next two weeks Daniel motions for a "psuedo meeting" on Monday Oct 19 and Elections on the following Thursday and Friday Gina Seconds AFNO Justin, Dharshan, Joseph and Kyu Volunteer to make ads Nancy Yi briefs Freshman Mixer earnings ( $300 spent $700 earned) Suggestion to sell left over drinks with Mu Alpha Theta Dharshan motions to sell drinks after school Tuesdays and Thursdays with Mu Alpha Theta for $1 Ricky reports that art club believes all teachers should be be on T-shirts Task assigned to fundraising committee Robert Reports that BLA meeting was NOT a Success Blood Drive Friday Suggestion to sell snacks at Gamers Night Red Ribbon Week Commitee: Gina Kyu, Adrian, Joseph, Daniel, Chad Winter Dance Themes: Vegas, Casino, Masquerade Becca Todd Shannon Max Justin ( I am assuming this is the committee in charge Chad?
