 Scirtidae Taxonomy and Phylogenetics My research are focused on taxonomy of Scirtidae (Coleoptera: Scirtoidea). My current projects include: - revision of New Caledonian Scirtidae (with Hiroyuki Yoshitomi); - revision of the genus Calvarium Pic; - revision of Chilean Scirtidae (with Jaime Solervicens); - studies on saltatorial Scirtidae (mainly Oriental, with Hiroyuki Yoshitomi); - studies on Indian and Sri Lankan Scirtidae; - preparing world catalogue of Scirtidae (with Bernhard Klausnitzer and Hiroyuki Yoshitomi); - revision of Scirtidae of Fiji (part of Fiji Bioinventory of Arthropods Study); - revision of Neotropical Prionoscirtes (cooperation with the Carnegie Museum of Natural History). Other of my projects include studies on Eurasiatic Ciidae, studies on Palaearctic Histeridae and faunistics of several Central European Coleoptera families (mainly Elateriformia and Cucujiformia). |
