From Charlie P., in Virginia: Why do they wear old-style clothes in Star Wars, but in all other sci fis its all jumpsuits and high tech gear? Because the Humans in the Far far away Galaxy don’t have good fashion sense…? Forgive me, that’s a bit lazy. The reason is, Humans in the Far far away Galaxy are isolated from the Milky Way galaxy, they veered off from Earth’s fashions. Creating their own, they not only developed new fashions, but also developed a new culture. Its not necessarily “Old style” as much as it is a different style. And as for the jumpsuits... In the Air force today, jumpsuits are not only a fashion from the olden days, but they are also flight suits. Soldiers and pilots wear them. This style went into the future, and became uniform there as well. Lilith Anderson |
