"I would urge teachers to see their shows" Edinburgh Festivals Magazine

We provide shows about science, performed in your venue, that are

exciting, professional and great value for money.

Whatever your reason for booking, whatever the age group of your audience, we are so confident you will love our shows that

we offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee
.

What do we provide?

Our science shows have been compared to the Royal Institution Christmas Lectures, or Johnny Ball programmes from the 1970's. You provide the venue and we provide a show, themed around science, that is entertaining and educational in equal measure.

We perform shows about subjects that will capture your students' imagination. We then explore those subjects using exciting demonstrations, multimedia and lots of volunteer help. And everything we do complements and reinforces the science teaching you are already doing at school.

We perform in theatres, lecture halls, dinner halls, gyms or classrooms. We alter the content of the shows for different age groups throughout the day. Our performances showcase the best that science has to offer.

Why do hundreds of schools and festivals choose Science Shows for Schools?

We pride ourselves on the consistent quality of our shows. We are experienced teachers with additional performing skills
, not students or actors. You can be assured that the performance you see will be of the highest standard- every show we perform is an advert for our next booking. Click on this link to read a selection of our customer reviews and click here to see us in action.

Who have we worked for?

We have performed in hundreds of schools and colleges and visited the most prestigious science festivals in the UK, Ireland and across the world.

National Science and Engineering week is more of a month for Science Shows for Schools. This year we have visited schools in London all the way to Caithness. On our travels we have covered almost 2000 miles and seen some amazing scenery. We've passed the highest mountains in all the home countries: Snowdon in Wales (on a visit to Hereford), Scarfel Pike in the Lake District (as we traveled from Glasgow to Burnley) and Ben Nevis in Scotland on the way up to the Moray Science Festival in Elgin. Thanks to all the schools we visited. Now we have a week off and it is well deserved!

Tuesday 22st March 2011

The Caithness Science Festival has just ended and Science Shows for Schools were performing their show Galileo's Greatest Mistake to upper primary school children all over Thurso and Wick. We also performed at the opening of the festival and at an open show in the evening for the whole community. This was the third time we've been to Caithness (we've performed Bending it like Beckham and The REAL Science of the Circus before) and we love getting as far north as possible in the UK without getting on a ferry. If you get a chance to visit this amazing part of the world, or if you get invited to their wonderful science festival, we'd highly recommend it.
