Kaely McPhee
Coach, Choreographer and I.B. Dance Teacher
Kaely McPhee graduated with honors from Chapman University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance. As SCHS Dance Team alumni, Kaely has been coaching the dance team for the last four years. She has choreographed many concert dances and has had the pleasure of introducing dance on film in a piece entitled, “Technicolo(red)” in the January 2010 dance concert. In addition, Kaely co-choreographed, “Fire,” which took 1st Place at the 2009 USA National Competition. This was especially rewarding because she was able to collaborate with her mentor, Kelly Devine. Along with coaching for the team, Kaely has been the Mentor Project Program Director at the Boys and Girls Club for the last several years. Every summer the Mentor Project offers dance classes and performance opportunities for underserved children and teens. Kaely loves connecting with the youth in our community through dance and has found that her true passion is teaching, creating an environment in which growth, creativity, and self-expression can be developed.
