The Atticus Tour made its stop in Dallas on Saturday at The Door in Deep Ellum, featuring Drop Dead Gorgeous, Phoenix-based Christian rock band Bless The Fall, Vanna, and Let's Get It.
The first band to take the stage was Let's Get It, a pop/rock band from Dayton, Ohio, who really knows how to put on a spectacular show, with songs like "Duck, Duck Grey Goose," "Ciroc & Roll," and "Maps"; there is no need to explain why everyone in the club was going insane for them.
Next the metal-core five-piece Vanna appear on stage, and as soon as they start playing, the crowd has already formed a monstrous mosh pit. The band started out with older hits like "A Dead Language For A Dying Lady," "Ten Arms," Where We Are Now," and ended their set with a more recent hit, "Let's Have An Earthquake."
After the crowd settled down from moshing, Drop Dead Gorgeous stepped on stage; their set list includes their ultra-catchy, screamo hits such as "Dressed For Friend Requests," "Daniel, Where's The Boat," "Two Birds, One Stone," "The Show Must Go On," and many more.
Soon after DDG (Drop Dead Gorgeous) finished up their set, pop/punk veterans Finch came to the stage with the same vengeance that they had 10 years ago (when the band was formed). The band played hits like "Letters To You," "Waiting," "Perfection Through Silence," "Insomniac Meat," "Bite marks and Bloodstains," and "The Casket of Roderick Usher."
Finally after about five hours of waiting, Bless The Fall came to the stage with new front man Beau Bokan singing/screaming his heart out to some of their most familiar hits, including, "Guys Like You Make Us Look Bad," " Rise Up," "His Last Walk," "Higinia," " Times Like These," and they ended their hour-long set with their most recent hit, "To Hell and Back."
Although Bless The Fall has gone through some major changes in the last two years (the band lost its original front man Craig Mabbit in late 2007 and nearly broke up as a result of it), they still played a wonderful show.
