Registration

•    You need to register your scarecrow, either by phone or email. Contact us

•     Please make sure you receive verification that your entry has been registered.

•     Deadline to register your scarecrow is Sunday, September 20^th, 2009 at 6pm.   For information required See registration form  
  Registration deadline for this years competition has been extended until 5pm on Wednesday 23rd September 2009  
  

•  There is a drop box in Schomberg Library for registration forms.
  

Entries

•    Scarecrows do not have to be of the traditional straw and stick variety, they can be made of any medium with new or recycled materials, only limited by your  imagination. See how to make a scarecrow for basic help.
  

Location

•      Scarecrows must be in place in Schomberg  from 10am on Saturday, September 26th until 6pm on Saturday, October 3^rd (We can help with location)

•      You don't have to live in Schomberg to enter.

 Voting for People’s Choice

•     There will be ballot boxes around Schomberg.

•     Only one vote per person will be allowed.

•      There will a prize for the scarecrow with the most votes from the public.

•      Public voting will begin at 10am on Saturday, September 26^th and continue until 4pm on Saturday, October 3^rd.

•      Voters that choose the judge's winner will be entered into a draw which will be done at 7.30pm on October 3^rd at the Community Bonfire Night. Plus all other winners will be announced then.
  

 Judging

•      A team of judges, will view and judge all the entries starting at 2pm on Saturday, September 26^th.

•      This year the judging will be for 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd places.

•     Winners will be announced at the Community Bonfire Night at 7.30pm on October 3^rd

•   The judging will be based on creativity, originality, effort, durability and quality of construction.
