Inspired by a Competition/Festival, in a small village of England known as the Wrenbury Scarecrow Trail, Schomberg Scarecrows is growing each year.

Scarecrow Festivals have become wildly popular in the UK, see other scarecrow links  for more information, and now other countries are catching on too! They are exciting to visit, young children especially love them, as do the young at heart.

For two whole weeks the sleepy village of Wrenbury takes on a total transformation and becomes alive with characters from books, movies, TV, sport, the Royal family etc etc. Not only are the scarecrows everywhere but the whole community is involved. Businesses, restaurants, pubs, stores, schools, churches and community groups are all doing something special..i.e. afternoon teas, art shows, camp outs, garage sales and on and on. As well as having their own scarecrows, often relevant to their organization.

There are many photographs in this website to give you ideas and inspiration for your scarecrow. See slide shows and other scarecrow links

The more people that participate the more amazing and fun this event could be, it has the potential to attract visitors to Schomberg from near and far! Click here for How to Enter
