 The Stone Crown Bowling Club has been in existence since 1892. The club moved to these new premises in 2008. The location may have changed but otherwise it's business as usual. At Wally's funeral Geoff Owen our President had these words to say about Wally. --------------------oooOOOooo---------------- A Plea for Help I
feel sure that you like me appreciate our wonderful facilities, a first class
bowling green and a pavilion to be very proud of. The club members and guests centre around the
pavilion and with bowling, darts, yoga and many general social functions the
pavilion is well used.
Currently we are in need of help with the cleaning of the pavilion. Our club has always come together to do whatever needs doing, to work together for the benefit of all the members. I feel that the time has come for some of our 120 members to step forward and help us. We need people to help keep the pavilion clean, Angela Hensby our housekeeper is looking for people to work in small cleaning groups for a few hours. Cleaning is normally done once a week the more groups we can get the lighter the workload.
