Forget the miserable English winter, it's nearly time for this year's Kington Langley Scarecrow Festival.

What is it?

Every year in June the village of Kington Langley in Wiltshire is host to up to 100 scarecrows displayed around a trail in the centre of the village. Thousands of visitors come over the weekend to guess the titles of the scarecrows, assisted (or maybe hindered) by clues found in the programme.

We aim to make this an affordable family day out, but rest assured that proceeds are donated to local charities and projects suggested by our volunteers and scarecrow builders.

Our theme for 2012 is "Best of British" to celebrate both the Queen's Diamond Jubilee year and the fantastic successes we are hoping for in the London Olympics.Poster 2012

£100 is up for grabs for the visitor that can guess the most Scarecrow titles! He's behind you!

Scarecrow Builders

the registration form is now OPEN for scarecrow builders and we're already seeing a wide range of titles. Royalty and sports stars are obvious choices, but what about inventors, pop stars, politicians, film stars, soap stars and of course British military heroes.

Registration closes on May 20th 2012

Join our Volunteers

we need all the help we can get! Please join our growing community of helpers; even if you can only spare an hour over the weekend, we would really appreciate it.
Register your details via the Mailing List and tick the Volunteers box and Charlie will be in touch.
