What to expect: SCA Houston's School Year program (formerly the Conservation Leadership Corps - CLC) is a volunteer service program for high school students aged 15-19. The program runs for one weekend a month from December to April, with each weekend including a service project, environmental education, green jobs readiness training, outdoor recreation and/or camping! Students must be able to commit to each weekend for the entire progrm. There will also be one or two evening meetings each  month during the program.

Program Dates: You must be able to attend ALL FIVE weekends!
December 9-11 (we will leave on Friday after school and return Sunday after lunch)
January 14-15
February 18-19
March 24-25
April 21-22
These dates may still change as projects are chosen. There will also be a parent orientation before the first weekend and one or two evening meetings each month during the program.

How to apply: Click the link for "Apply" under the "School Year Program" heading to the left. For SCA Alumni (if you have participated in the program in the past) choose the Alumi application. If you have never participated before, please choose the New Member application.

National Crews: Some participants in the 2011-2012 School Year Crews will also have the chance to win a scholarship to join a National Crew during the summer of 2012. Scholarship chances will be based on a crew member's work ethic, attitude, attendance, leadership and other factors. More details will be available soon.
