Gunshot Trajectory Reconstruction

Gunshot trajectory reconstruction can be used to determine locations of victims and suspects during shooting incidents. Trajectory reconstruction may be used to determine special circumstances, like laying-in-wait. Trajectory reconstruction may be used to determine sequence of shots fired, possibly determine initial shooter. 




This class will teach the student how to properly document shooting scenes for later prosecution. This class covers topics such as stringing bullet holes together to determine individual bullet pathways; measurement of entrance holes; using trajectory paths to position suspects and victims; proper photography of shooting scenes; proper terminology of evidence; using laser pointers to locate bullet holes at scene; and more.
