Is there an age limit?
We accept students from the age of four, although this does depend on the student. There is no upper age limit!
Can families train together? Yes, families are welcome.
How much does it cost to train? Classes are £4.50 per student per class. If members of the same family train there is a discount.
Where and when are the classes? Two classes are held each week, and training is all year (with exception during Christmas holidays):
Tuesday - 7.00pm – 8.30pm Glatton Village Hall High Haden Road, Glatton, Huntingdon, Cambs, PE28 5RU (Click here for a map)
Thursday - 7.00pm – 8.30pm (senior belt students train to 9.00pm) Sawtry Leisure Centre (in badminton court in the main hall) Green End Road, Sawtry, Huntingdon, Cambs, PE28 5UY (Click here for a map)
What do I need to start training? When you start training all you need to wear are jogging bottoms and a t-shirt, and bring a drink with you. Once you have decided that Tang Soo Do is right for you, then you can purchase a uniform called a ‘Do-Bohk’ from your instructor.
What benefits will I get? What can I expect to get out from training? This is down to the individual, as training brings different things to different people.
For younger aged students, they will make new friends, become self disciplined, improve confidence and learn respect for elders and higher ranks.
For adults the same applies, along with improving fitness and flexibility, and potential to protect our lives and possessions from injustice and danger.
I have never done a Martial art before. Can I still train and what can I expect? Yes, you do not need to have previously done any training. In your first class you will be under the supervision of a senior student, who will help you, show you what to do and answer any questions you may have. Remember, everybody started as a beginner.
Do I need to contact you before I start training? If you have any particular questions then you may want to speak to the instructor before your first class. Contact details below. Alternatively you will be able to discuss any queries with the instructor at your first class.
