Formed in 2006, he Friends Group aims to improve the square so it can become a well used local greenspace.  So far they have

• Held 2 fairs on the square to encourage active and better use of the square
• Worked with the council to achieve ground improvements
  
• Planted spring bulbs with children from local schools
• Cleaned the park with the help of parents
• Carried out community consultation via various events and workshops
• Developed a Master Plan of future improvements
