For the benefit of those who do not use Facebook, here are some of the comments you will find on the Facebook group Save Laurie Park:
|
"Just wanted to say thankyou so much from all of our family, for all your efforts to save Laurie Park. You all did a great job!"
"I would really like to see some of the money used to add sand to the two little water access areas in the picnic side, as well as perhaps clean up under the water at the boat launch site. These are areas that many people bring their little kids to, who can't swim off the rocks yet. There are a LOT of big rocks, etc., ...under the water at the boat launch site, which make it difficult to swim there for little ones. I wonder if that would be expensive, and if perhaps they are going to do something like that in "Plan A" anyway.
A BIG HUGE thank you to the organizers of Save Laurie Park for saving our park!!!!!!" "This park should remain open and unrestricted forever and for everyone! The natural beauty is worth defending!"
"This is not satisfactory! What are the original conditions under which the land was given to the province by Colonel Laurie?
The community should be no less restricted to all parts of the park then campers, as it has always been. I would only accept that the general public should not be able to access facilities provided specifically in the camping area for paying campers. This would be showers, laundry, flush toilets, theaters, wood, etc.. All waterfront and trail usage should remain unrestricted or equally restricted as for campers (e.g. hours of operation)." "No upper parking? That's just stupid. Who wants to walk all the way to the lake from the park entrance, especially on a hot day?"
"I just heard about this...thank goodness they've listened and are going to reconsider taking away day access. Laurie Park has been a wonderful escape for so many I know who live in the city...please don't take the rocks!!!"
"Does anyone know why the upper parking area needs to be removed? And especially why will vehicles be disallowed to park near water's edge to launch a kayak or canoe or simply to make use of their picnic areas? Do they plan to develop more campsites in this area - is that the reason? I don't understand..... There ar...e no camping sites on one side of the park as it currently stands, why couldn't vehicle access be permitted on this side of the park to gain access to launch a boat or to picnic? What do they intend to do with this particular "side" or area of the park? One of the reasons Laurie Park appeals to so many is that it is lake-side, and everyone can enjoy activities near or in the water. A Picnic area located near the train track area is not appealing to most, I suspect. Please keep Laurie Park green and accessible to all......"
"dont let them tke our park, we use it everyday over the sumer for swimming fishing and enjoying the summer, its only going to drive people away tkaing away our day park, im not going to camp there if i cant hang around the day camp. they cant even fill half last years ground, how do they think they will fill the entire park! Its bullcrap haha!"
"I was just wondering if any of the park planners remembered that the Provincial Park Regulations state that: an “outdoor recreational park” [which Laurie Park is supposed to be] is a park that incorporates quality recreational resources capable of supporting a wide variety of outdoor activities and is established to ...meet the recreational needs of residents and visitors". I guess they forgot about the "residents" part. And wouldn't they be making history if they created the first provincial park ever to not allow day use to local residents? What a remarkable precedent! I am sure it was not the intentions of the Laurie family when the park was created.
Kudos to the administrators of Save Laurie Park for their work and their success so far. At least part of the battle is won. It's time for the planners to go back to the drawing board and this time they had better invite the public to join them in the process." "I would like to say thank you to everyone who took time to write about their concerns and protest the changes being made. But especially a big thank you to the organizers of 'save Laurie Park' who have worked hard this past week to ensure we are heard and kept everyone informed. I am grateful that my husband and I wi...ll continue to be able to enjoy the beauty and peacefulness of our local park."
"Great job to those attending the public meeting; and particularly to those that advocated a very worth purpose!"
"omg i have been going there scince i was like 2y.o. it cant end now!!"
"I'm also one of the ones who dove off the rocks baha. gotta love falling threw the air. The rush is awsome. It's pathetic that the world has to Mess around with s%^& like this. There was nothing wrong with leaving it open to everyone"
"Excellent, its good to hear someone is listening to the people for a change!"
"Awesome, I missed all this, but I'm glad my Laurie Park is staying how it is!! Thanks for doing what you did everybody! :)"
"Well now, I fail to see why it should be necessary for a community to defend itself in order for DNR to say "we will see how we can incorporate the community's needs into the design"!
Where were these people brought up? One would think that our needs would have entered into the "design" from the early planning stages! Any research on present usage would have shown them the "community's needs"!" "this is outta control. The day use of the park is a big thing in
the comunity and all around go to the park on a hot summer day and the big head parking lot is packed cars lined up an down the road. sure revamp the ol park but don kill a ol swimming spot, walking place, picnic place, its just not right and another thing ...if day use is cut off ur only giving another rule for the communitys teenagers to break!!!"
"Today letters were sent to all addresses at http://www.savelauriepark.ca/ stating that it is essential to keep unrestricted free access to Laurie Park as a safe alternative to walking one's family and pets along Highway 2 which has become increasingly more dangerous with increased traffic and no sidewalks. Thanks for the heads up."
"This issue is not over until it is over. I believe we Friends of Laurie Park have made some very good progress with rousing the Province’s awareness of our strong convictions to save Day Use & Unrestricted Access. As a recent letter from Mr. Paris, Provincial representative, points out…. plans for this park have not be...en finalized and Day Use will be addressed in favour of community interests. POSITIVE APPROACH = POSITIVE RESULTS ."
"As a kid i spend almost every weekend camping at laurie park with my family and when i had kids we spent weeks at a time in this park my kids liked this place so much and it is so close to the city that one can drive to work from there as i have done many of times. It would be ashame to see this park gone....The only re...ason they would let this happen is for the money and then there would be nothing but houses in they and no one would be able to enjoy diving off the rocks anymore other then the few people who are rich and can buy the land do not let this happen to laurie pack for this is not only about a park its also about people losing there past..."
"I go to Laurie Park very often in the summer months. I usually take a lunch and a novel and sit there for hours reading. I can't imagine not being able to do so anymore. Please save OUR park!!!"
"I grew up spending a large part of my youth in the grand lake area . lauri park was the perfect place for me and my friends to get away , jumping off the rocks , fishing , swimming and camping . Turning Lauri Park into an RV park will take the nature aspect out of the beautiful park it is . The local people will be shu...nned aside and their place will be taken by tourists . Im confused about the advantage of destroying such a great campground !
My understanding of a "PARK" is to preserve the nature , wildlife and wilderness . A rv park requires more pavement , More concrete pads , more power poles , more septic , more staff and obviously more garbage and pollution . It sounds like they are turning Lauri park into LAURI "PARK"ING LOT !! Leave lauri park alone so our children and their children can enjoy it as we all have , find another spot for the RV's !! This park is not yours to destroy Mr MacDonell ! Im sure you can find better ways to waste money !!" "This story has perplexed me since it came up out of the blue. Of all the things that need done in this Province...
Laurie Park is a beautiful area to visit and has been since I was a child (first visit in the early seventies I think). Many happy days spent there with family and friends. To say the trees, streams, lake and... beach are getting old seems strange. The order of events here: close the park, announce an expensive plan to change a natural park because it's "old" and "tired", then when it's all happening call a public meeting to fend off all concerned while moving ahead with contracting out unspecified work... it seems crazy. That the trees are getting old sounds more like the logic of the clearcutters than clear-headed thinking." "I grew up in Grand Lake and I was at that park nearly every day in the summer. Even today I drive 20 min. on the weekend to walk my dog there. We are the public, we can change what happens there and we need to for future generations."
"they cannot do this i love this place more than anything , ive spent every summer there sence i was born♥"
"32% of Nova Scotians aged 2-17 are considered obese. This is significantly above the national average. Perhaps this has something to do with the fact that the provincial government reduces access to PUBLIC recreation facilities like Laurie Park? Should we just be keeping the kids inside to play video games??"
"This Natural Park has been given to the People in good faith that it would always be available for public enjoyment. While we applaud SOME of the proposed upgrades and maintenance - WE SINCERELY RESENT HAVING OUR FREE ACCESS TO DAY USE DENIED - surely our local tax dollars reflect the right to quiet enjoyment of our natural environment."
"I worked at the park for two summers, loved every minute of it. I sit here scratching my head at the idea of taxpayer money going towards restricting the use of taxpayer owned land, given to them by tax payers. I'm not in N.S. anymore, but I sure hope those that are stand up to this mind boggling "stimulus".
"I love Laurie Park been camping there for the last 15 years, lot's of memories, met lot's of friends,,, and waiting to see them soon,, please don't change it to much:)"
"I met my husband at laurie park while camping there with friends one summer, my marriage might not of lasted long, but the memories I have of this park will last forever. This park is perfect just the way it is. Let the younger generation have as much fun as we had."
"Father Duncan spoke from the Altar at St. Rose of Lima church this morning regarding the changes at Laurie Park. After Mass a partition was available to sign. Many people lined up to do so. Mr. Dexter and Mr. Paris this is getting big."
"When I was young and moving from New Brunswick to here Fall River was the only place that my dad had picked to live. He wanted us to be out of the busy life of the city, and to see something like this happen to such a wonderful place that is a little piece of heaven to so many people breaks my heart. There are still so... many people that have lived and stayed in the surrounding areas for many of years an have enjoyed the conforts of a leisurly walk or a family get together for a swim or a picnic without the trouble of having to travel that this will destroy the very being of the community. If they wanted to do something to improve the park I would say to look at a new picnic area, make it so that everyone can enjoy not only the few that have campers. This area is a little piece of HEAVEN that is enjoyed by the YOUNG and OLD at HEART !!!! Let me ask this question, do we always have to pay something for a piece of HEAVEN to be enjoyed?."
"Laurie Park is a public park intended for the use and benefit of Nova Scotian's. The Laurie family donated this land, in good faith, for people to enjoy. It appears that some "planners" have decided without real public consultation that Laurie park will now become a "private" camp ground for tourists. I wonder what dea...l has been done with the Federal government to take advantage of the Canada Economic Action Plan funding? Big RV's with fees at Laurie park and the rest of us shown the way to Oakfield Park! If the government is transparent they will release the environment risk assessment and their business plan for Laurie Park. My family and I still plan to picnic and swim at Laurie Park next summer even if we have to walk around RV's."
"I will NEVER vote NDP again... It's sad to see OUR crown land going for logging all around us. Now we have to pay to enjoy a park that was GIVEN to us? I'm sorry, but just cause we voted them in, doesn't mean we can't kick them out. Camping is not backing a home on wheels into a fully serviced lot. Sorry if you like th...at stuff. I'm sure it's great, but find an EXISTING SPOT to enjoy it. Pretty soon there will be complaints of people leaving a mess at various "improvised" camping and picnic spots on crown land and private land because they can get there for free. Or they will balk at the "increased erosion" from added traffic through the woods. Yup. Smart lot they are."
"One of the reasons I moved into this area was because of the walking trials at Laurie Park. When I was a kid my folks use to drive out to Laurie Park to take me for a walk. The Plaque in front of the park says the land was donate for the use of all Nova Scotians, not just paying customers. The park can be shared by all to use, this is just Government Greed. NO TO SINGLE USE BY PAYING CUSTOMERS
"we need our local park for picnics & swimming as well as camping ,,,don't close the park"
"my heart would break </3 . so many memories at laurie !"
"I am all the way over in Scotland, and I am very concerned about this. When I lived in Fall River, I cannot remember a summer when I didn't spend time at Laurie Park, both as a camper AND day visitor. The memories keep me warm in my chilly flat :) I'll be such a loss if furture community members won't be able to use it... in the same way. I wrote every single one of those guys on the mail list!"
"My impression is far more people make day use of the park than would be benefitted by restricting use to campers only. This makes no sense and would probably be very difficult to enforce. Seems like a classic case of "fixing" something that's not broken"
"I can't believe how something so precious can be taken away from us in a flash. Thank you to everyone who voted for the wonderful NDP GOVERNMENT. They were given a chance and they are taking everything away. I use to sell newspapers at Laurie Park when I was 10 and 11 years old, this was many years ago. We spent ou...r summers swimming and our falls walking in the park to have someone take it out from underneath us. If they want to go RVing or camping to a fancy place go somewheres else. Leave Laurie Park as it is. My grandmother use to take care of Mrs. Laurie's house and I am sure that if her and the Colonel knew what was going on they would have rolled over many times in their graves knowing that the community was going to lose their wonderful park. Shame on you government leave the park alone and let the people of our communities enjoy it."
"I wonder if you have ever tried to take your kids or you dog for a swim on a sunny afternoon. As it stands now, those who can afford it – already own access to most of the swimmable lake frontage around here. It is only at provincial parks that those not so fortunate to own lake frontage can still find a place to “ju...mp in” and enjoy an afternoon of natures fun. Now that option is being threatened as well. Are we all supposed to go to Albro Lake (before that water becomes too contaminated for the season) in order to enjoy a simple outing with our children and pets? That appears to be the closest option available, pity really considering how many lakes I will have to pass in order to get there. Please do not deny daily public access to the area residents. It is a provincial park and should be available to the people"
"Please don't change Laurie Park cause it is such a beautiful place to change it after so many years ,it is just so wrong. It is just fine the way it is so just leave it that way .There are to many changes to life and things around the world why not leave it all alone and let things be the way they are" |
"Thank you for all of your hard work to save Laurie Park! It is obvious you have all volunteered a lot of your personal time as the meetings were very well organized and very informative!! Keep up the great work!"
"RE: Plan "A" for Laurie Park - good plan, BUT for that turning circle on the right hand side at the entrance. It should be on the left to avoid the two traffic flows crossing. Apparently there was not enough room on the left to do this. I think this aspect of the plan should be revisited. Surely the professional planne...rs and engineers can solve this problem and achieve a better park. What do you think ?"
"I agree--the turning circle is in one of my favourite areas--there are some really lovely trees there that I expect will have to be cut to make way for all that PAVEMENT."
"I just read about this in the paper today and it was the first I heard about this terrible idea!! My mother and I will be terribly dissapoited if this place becomes restricted to the public! We live in Dartmouth and make the about 25 minute drive atleast 2 nights a week to Laurie park to swim! We ABSOULTY love this place!! please keep the shore line the way it is!!"
"Thank you for the report of the meeting with Natural Resources regarding the changes to Laurie Park. It is very disappointing to hear how little revision has been made to the initial plans. It seems that Natural Resources and their consultants want to cater to a motor home elite, while penalizing the local community users. As well, the current plan makes little sense in terms of sustainability concerns - travelling by motorhome or large RV's is not going to increase; local recreation, especially sustainable options like walking, cycling, canoeing and kayaking will.
So why are most of the park improvements directed at energy wasting travellers during a very short part of the year? Here is what would like to see: + improved year round parking for daylight use (daylight is much more practical than set hours) + from Easter to Remembrance Day, unrestricted parking in the general vicinity of the former boat ramp + construction of a proper, safe floating dock for launching canoes and kayaks with nearby parking + ungrading of the nature trail to Big Head to meet safety and accessibility needs + addition of new walking trails to complement the current roads + minimize investments or support for clearly unsustainable activities - like fuel guzzling RVs or motorized recreation equipment It would be nice if the upgrades to the park were actually based on who uses it - year round. If our elected officials and government were actually responding to the needs of the taxpayers and voters, this should be easy to resolve." "This is insane! Carry a kayak or canoe to the lake from the #2 Hwy? Carry your picnic all the way into the lakefront area? Cannot happen. What happened to wheelchair access or the disabled?"
"That's a poor example of taking our needs into consideration!!!!"
"It IS frustrating! I urge everyone to continue sending emails and letters to Nat Res. We have steered Nat Res to this Face Book group so they can also get feedback here. The good news is that they're speaking with us. However, we still have a long way to go and nothing is settled yet!"
"I believe Mr. Carroll and Mr. Paris are equivocating. I have asked Mr. Paris if he supports the proposal to eliminate day usage of Laurie Park. He has not responded.
I believe the authority to make the decisions which will affect our usage of Laurie Park rests with Mr. Carroll. I think we have to keep the pressure on... until we have seen a clear statement from Mr. Carroll stating that the regulations and policies which govern access to the park will not be changed. So far, all we have is an indication that the issues raised will be reviewed and the existing development proposal will be examined to determine what changes can be made. We have no assurances, certainly not formal or binding, that any changes will be made and no specific assurances that we will have the same access to Laurie Park in the future that we have had in the past. Nothing less than the status quo is acceptable. Let's keep up the fight!" "its just a money grab, and it will increase traffic on the main road with all the larger sized trailers. Is there going to be nothing for people who wan to go to the park and spend the day there for a picnic"
"We cannot lose the rocks we love to jump off! Save our park!"
"My grandparents have a cottage on Grand Lake awsome place to swim and boat!!"
"Great Job on the campaign to save our piece of paradise!!"
"has an environmental assessment been done?"
"Laurie Park used to be one of my favs. I hope it stays open"
"my family and I always enjoy this park.."
"I'm not too happy about the Amphitheatre they want to put in...so much for a peaceful park"
"Save my park!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
"I've been following this closely.. I'm glad to hear the activism is making a difference - I grew up around Laurie Park - it was a 10 minute walk down the railroad tracks from the bottom of brookfield drive, and the start of a lifelong love of the outdoors. Thanks for everyone who got involved."
"i live right arond the corner from Laurie, I have 4 younger siblings and 2 dogs as well as myself and my parents who love going there to cool off on a hot summer day... Parks are meant to be enoyed by EVERYONE, despite tents or RVs..."
"Great news. MANY voices have spoken and been heard. Super response letter from John MacDonell today in my inbox. Looks like the privilege of enjoying the park, as we have for many years, will be protected. Let's remember to not only voice concern but also thanks."
"I keep thinking about this. It's just so nice here, it makes me weep to imagine they would harm a single tree or foot of waterfront on this property."
"I love it here the atmoshere, the sights, the sounds, its heaven on earth god save this place! Seriously though why is Laurie park being shut down?"
"sent a letter to the addresses on the "www.savelauriepark.ca" page
asking that they update everyone that has sent letters as promptly and frequently as possible as to what the plans are for Laurie Park. I would HATE to see this park change almost at all, but I would especially hate to see this park become commercialized a...nd very touristy. We like the fact that it isn't this way; that is what makes us want to go there. That is why they should be very careful about what they plan to do to this park. If the rumors circulating are indeed true, they should prepare for quite the fight because people will not accept it. www.savelauriepark.ca" "I was one of the nuts who dove off the high rocks , An experence I will never forget what a RUSH ..... We must save this amaze'n PARK !!!"
"There are numerous private campgrounds around to provide campsites for those wishing to camp. I'm pleased to see so many people want to keep the park for day use"
"they can't shut it down its my dogs favorite place to run"
"I bet that if Laurie Park had been in Fall River or Beaver Bank that our
politicians would be more Interested in Helping to Save the Park" "Get Sid the Kid Crosby to throw in his two cents. The man owns land and a house near there does he not. Who comes up with baloney like this anyway?"
"It is very shameful that the politicians aren't more transparent. I still say email them all until the issue is addressed fully. Has anyone heard back from Percy Paris??!
This plan is getting partial Federal funding from Harper's Economic Development Action Plan. So Stouffer does have some responsibility. Keep the emails going! Annoy the heck out of them!" "I am writing to say how distressed we are at the proposal restricting access to Laurie Park. Public access to the natural bounty of our province is one of the fundamental elements of our well-being and part of the attractions of living in Nova Scotia. Limiting it is one further step in the direction of bringing every a...spect of life under the discipline of the marketplace. Real democracy includes free access to public lands and their beauty. Limiting public access is just one more step in the erosion of our democratic heritage."
"Leave Laurie Park alone. For goodness sake if anything should be
preserved in its natural state this is it. Especially at a time we have such a budget crunch. Want to capitalize on the federal money available? Make a new park. Or better yet bring back old fashioned roadside tables!" "The park causes no trouble the way it is, dont fix what is not broken"
"Actually if you want to oppose we were told by Peter Stofer that it is better to call the Minister of Natural Resources, John Macdonnell,
We had emailed John MacDonnell, but were told to redirect to the Executive Director of parks... carrolhe@gov.ns.ca Nobody wants to be accountable and I am not impressed. I am told by ...Peter Stoffer that this decision may have been reversed by someone in Truro, possibly the executive director?... Lets hope so" "i love the park the way it is ,please dont change a thing, its nice to be able to enjoy the outdoors ,and spending the day with the kids, there is not much around here you can do for free with the kids anymore.."
"Shame on all the Government people who have proposed to bring in the City folk to relax in our parks and kick us out.. Shame Shame Shame.. all for the all mighty dollar. I wrote a letter to all of them on behalf of the Community that we were all against. it.. expand if you must.. update and upgrade if you must and kee...p up out of your new areas but now our park that belongs to us. Shame Shame Shame"
"The Park is not broken. It has been available for day use for nearly 50 years, enjoyed by all in the community. It does not need to be fixed to exclude day use. So, why does government wish to destroy the community heritage of day use of Laurie Park? Does it not meet their current agenda of politcal correctness?"
"It seems to me the Lauries DONATED the land, partially to allow public access to Grand Lake, since at that time (before Oakfield Park) there was little or no public access to the lake. To deny the public day access seems to go against the wishes of the donors. Why should it be necessary to deny day access to a properly privied park?"
"I attended the official opening of Laurie Park and my understanding at the time was that the Laurie's intended this park to always be there for the local community to enjoy."
"Please visit www.savelauriepark.ca and email every one of the government officials listed to have our voices heard!! I just did. We need to keep this park in the hands of the local community, which means keeping our day access! Let's all be loud and obnoxious so they'll think twice about taking our park from us. Who's with me?"
"That park was awesome for the kids!!!!Now I guess I can't take my new grandson there!!!!!"
"And the small group of parents at Holland Road School just spent the last few years scrimping and fundraising and scrounging and spending hundreds of volunteer hours to get some playground equipment in place for the school. Now, down the road from the school, millions of hard earned tax payers dollars will be spent to ...fix 'what ain't broken" and then the local families will have to pay to get in? STUPID!"
"Hey Guys. I worked for DNR this summer as a park reception. Just to let you know, Upgrades to the park will in no way effect The parks Act, You will still have unrestricted day use access to the park, you may just have to pay for parking or walk in."
"Laurie park should have nothing happened to it! That's a place that keeps teenagers out of trouble. And gives us somewheres to go!!"
"i see no problem in upgrading the park but taking away day access is just plain wrong"
"I will always miss the cool waters on the hot summer days! My enjoyment is passed on to my children now and only hope they too can do the same. At the moment we live in the arctic but think of the memories shared by our family and friends at Laurie Park.Look forward more visits for summers to come!"
"I remember going there in the summer with my uncle and the family and all the friends, its a great place, just everyone share and leave it how it is."
"Misleading and incomplete information has caused us sincere citizens to voice our concerns and needs to save our access to Laurie Park - with this strong public outcry, we will be given our due and be in the winning position to retain free access to our own community green space. :D THINK POSITIVE - THINK GREEN - HUG YOUR TREE"
"How counter-productive is it to spend 2 million dollars and then the local kids can't go in for free to enjoy the park and jump of Big head and swim and run around????"
"Swimming at Laurie Park is my favourite part of summer, such a beautiful connective place to be. Let's keep the connection open :)"
"There is no way this is happening. That place is too magical. I learned who I was in that park."
"This park is my childhood, currently living in southern AB, I keep a picture of Laurie park and the lake on my desk top, and every day a different co-worker asks: - "Where is that?, it's gorgeous!""
"I new Mrs. Laurie very well . I am sure her intentions were not to have an RV Park in this location. I enjoy taking my son and dogs walking in the park as well as many others do . The camp ground could use some up grading but please leave the park as it is . Let the public continue to enjoy it for walking ,swimming and picnicing. It is a beautiful place and should be shared by all."
"What no day use? RV's only need a parking lot with power and water. Hopefully this is only a big oversight, I can't imagine what they were thinking."
"Strange all the pictures are of the lake & rocks.. people having fun.......
none of the camping.I have jumped the rocks ,,now my kids 16 & 10 have also. This is NOT right." "this is just rediculous laurie park is one of the few place left that are close to home where you can go for a quick dip or a walk and now they want to take that away from us and ruin the chance for youths to experance it this is just another one of the goverments big scams to make more money yes it would be nice for ...a few upgrades at laurie park but not how they are talking it wont even be a park anymore if you want to go camping with your big fancy campers then go to a trailer park that can accomadate them. if you want to go camping with your tent and you family then laurie park is the place it may not be the best place but it is one of the few camp grounds where there is actually nature suronding you and not big white 5th wheel trailers so please to everyone who make the big dission dont ruin the one last good park out there!!!"
"they just want to close it to day walking/jiking cause they cany make any money off of ppl who want to just go for a walk, oh no we couldnt let ppl enjoy the wondrous landscape that was there way befor this Mr.Carroll had anything to do with it. We shoukd all know by know that if the gvrmnt cant make money from it then they dont like it."
"What I'm wondering is how can the Government even consider making the park for campers only when the terms in which the land was donated clearly states "for the use of everyone..." if they choose to exclude day users isn't this grounds for some sort of lawsuit?"
"Mr. Carroll said in the paper today that it is difficult to have camping and a day park together. Well I guess he has not visited the orther Provincial Parks in NS where there is camping and day use which work very well together. Five Islands Prov. Park is just 1 of many"
