Save the Human Development Lab School

Dear Parents, Alumni and Lab School Supporters,

Dean Wimpelberg has announced that he is closing the school effective July 31.  His letter to parents can be read here.  We continue to believe that his rationale is wrong and that the school should remain open.  We have proposed the following petition:

DETAILS
As background, we also have available a letter from the Dean and Associate Dean of the College of Education from December 11, 2008, telling parents that all was fine with the school.  The letter can be found here.  We believe the Dean's office mislead parents in this letter, and acted in bad faith over the last six months.  The school administration enrolled new students into the school within the last month, even as plans to close the school were underway.  We are also posting the school's revenue and expense sheet from the last seven years, contradicting the claim that the school looses $100K per year on a consistent basis.  The sheet can be found here.

Thank You,
Executive Committee of the Parent Advisory Board.
