A li'l 'bout moi...I grew up in the southern Indian city of Hyderabad. The lush green campus of the Indian Institute of Technology in Madras was where I learnt the nuances of Electrical Engineering. I spent two good years in Synopsys before I left for the shores of America in a quest for, among several other things, higher education. So here I am now, at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, pursuing a PhD in Computer Engineering, in the RLPVLSI group with Dr. Ben Calhoun. By the way, this place is simply lovely - with the risk of sounding cliched, heaven on earth. I am glad I am studying here!!! :) NOTE FOR PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS: I will be glad to help you and give you information about UVA or apping in general. My advice to you would be to do some searches online and look at the web-pages for the university and the department. Have an idea about which professor(s) or research group(s) you would want to work in. Please do not simply send me your resume and ask me about your chances of getting admitted without telling me which professor(s) you want to work with or what your field of interest is. I will not be able to help you. |
