Welcome to the website of the Hudson Valley Satcom Group
I"m WA2AQH / Gary. A few months ago I descovered the exciting world of amateur satellites. I'm sure a lot of you have heard me rambling on and on about this aspect of Ham Radio.I am having a ball working the Birds. It's not all that hard to get started and make that first satellite contact. Yes there is a learning curve but I figured it out and I'm no rocket scientist.Hi HI. I have listed the urls above that I use to help me make my first satellite contact. As I said in the club newsletter,I am by no means an expert on this subject. I have only opperated the FM Brids.I'm doing that with my thf6a Kenwood Tri bander HT and my arrow dual band yagi, see url for arrow antennas. I can't say enough about this antenna. It's Just great.I get lots of comments on my solid signal.
