Different media different information!
My amateur radio call sign does not reflect the US region where I live. While I earned my Graduate Degree in French Linguistics at Indiana University, which is in region 9, the call is in memory of my first Search and Rescue dog, Can. OTCH Amir's Tollhouse Morsel, Am. UD, whose call name was Chip, thus K9CHP. (K9=canine as in search and rescue or police dog).. Yes, American are in love with acronyms, just as much as the French like their Greco-Roman heritage as in equipe cynophile, which is their term for K9 team though literally it means dog loving team... Languages are fun! So now you know both areas in which I spend much of my time, ham radio and K9 search and rescue.
This page is at best a work in progress. Hopefully, you'll come back and find more interesting points each time you get back to it.
