Campfest is proud to unveil the location for Campfest 2009
http://www.highclerefarmpark.co.uk/ Early signs are that it is in Beaconsfield and has toilets. Windy nights With the Alameda Christmas Concert causing quite a stir at the Young Musician of the Year headquarters, I felt something should be said about the flagrant appearance of the Christmas Fiddler. "Surely this man should locked up" I shouted, along with, "If they know he comes out at Christmas why aren't they doing something?" I was soon put right as the Mrs tells me the Christmas Fiddler is a music book dedicated to Christmas tunes for the violin.
"Well" said I in full flow, "what about this Monday Night Wind Club?" Apparently it is a club for youngsters who want to play the trumpet and such like. It got me thinking, what about a weekend wind club. The idea is to start the weekend on Friday with a few pints of Badgers helmet at the old dog and duck and top it off with a plate full of curry sauce and chunky onions. Who's with me?
On a lighter note JH Junior has been Blackberry picking, out of season, you say? not a bit of it, unfortunately the Blackberry in question is WAP enabled and can send and recieve e-mails as well as make phone calls, well it could, until it got left outside as JH got distracted by the wheelie bins. Least said soonest mended and all that....
Question of the WeekWhat would you do with £1,000,000?Last weeks question ran and ran and I'm not sure what it was so there.

Daisy Jan 1992 - October 2008
Driving into Charlesbury Kennels in Newport Pagnell we found Daisy standing up against the gate of the kennel she temporarily
lived in. It was clear to me, before we parked the car, that the dog we
would come to know as Daisy was the one for Ali.
We walked
up and down pretending to be interested in the other dogs, but our
minds were made up. We paid the money and put her into the car and
Christened her wihin 15 minutes.
We aren't
sure how Daisy started life but she was bought into Charlesbury because
she wouldn't settle. On leaving Daisy in the house for the first time
it soon became apparent what they meant. She managed to chew her way
through a couple of table legs, one chair and both sides of the
arcitrave on the kitchen door, taking her back was NOT an option.
1997 and
our first was born, this will put her nose out of joint we thought, but
she took to George as if she had known him all her life. Despite tiny
hands grabbing, pushing and pulling at her, she remained calm and never
grumbled.
1999 and Lilian was born. More of the same and still she took it all in her stride.
Daisy has
been the only animal at Campfest and has been an ever present. She will
mostly be remembered by Campfesters for getting lost at Emberton Park.
