The first Malayalam translation of the novel was done by a well-known novelist Vilasini (M. K. Menon).The present one is better in many shades, capturing the magic spell of the original. The study on the work and the biographical sketch with a few pictures of Hedayat and his expressions add to the value of the book.

رمان «بوف كور» نوشته صادق هدايت به زبان مالايي ترجمه و منتشر مي شود.
انتشار رمان بوف كور به زبان انگليسي در ايران كه ترجمه اش توسط دي.پي كوستليو انجام گرفته و نشر كاروان ناشر آن است. نظر يك مترجم مالزيايي را براي ترجمه جلب كرد. بوف كور به زبان انگليسي از طريق وب سايت انتشارات كاروان در شبكه اينترنت، S.A.Qudsi(قدسي) مترجم مالزيايي را، برآن داشت تا با ناشر اين اثر در ايران به مذاكره بنشيند. گفتني است، قدسي پيش از اين آثار فراواني از نويسندگان عرب زبان را به زبان مالايي برگردانده و اخيراًعلاقمند به ترجمه آثار نويسندگان ايراني شده است و تلاش دارد تا از ديگر نويسندگان ايراني نيز آثاري را ترجمه و به كشورهاي جنوب شرقي و هندوستان معرفي كند. رمان بوف كور همچنين مورد توجه و علاقه كوئيلو قرارگرفت و اين نويسنده نيز در تدارك ترجمه بوف كور به زبان پرتغالي است
