Being Stationed on Sandy Hook is a totally unique experience. We live on a National Park where tourists visit during the peak seasons(spring,summer and fall). We are a gated community at the end of the park, many people out in town don't even realize there is housing here.

 

There are approximately 30 housing units consisting of two, three, and four bedrooms, all with garages. Some are attached houses and some are free standing.  There are also barracks for the single people reporting.

 

Throughout housing and the base we have 4 playgrounds, a basketball court, tennis courts, baseball field, and a volleyball net. We also have a pool, gym with a weight training room and aerobic room (bikes,treadmills and elliptical machines), a galley, community center, and a small CG exchange on base.
