    Career Highlights

  • Sandra Hughes-Hassell has over twenty years experience that includes being a head school librarian, a consultant for city schools where she helped in the professional development of school librarians, the director of the Philadelphia Library Power Program (which, among other things, provided professional development for school librarians, teachers, and administrators) and an associate professor at both Drexel University and the University of North Carolina.
  • Her writing includes articles published in numerous professional journals such as Teacher-Librarian and The Alan Review as well as contributions to books such as The Information-Powered School and Collection Management for Youth: Responding to the Needs of Learners.
  • She has presented at state and national conferences, including the ALA Annual Conference and the Pennsylvania School Librarian's Annual Conference.
