Hi! My name is Sandra Amundsen! I have 13 years of American Sign Language (ASL) teaching experience.  I have my own ASL business, Sandra’s ASL Services (SAS) and offer workshops/private classes on different levels and different topics of ASL.  

As an experienced American Sign Language instructor, I can say that teaching is not just my calling: it is my passion. To contribute to the growth of my students, who come with much potential, curiosity and energy, is uniquely rewarding in and of itself. I just cannot imagine myself doing anything other than teaching. My philosophies are simple: 

        * Teach with patience and creativity

        * Be consistent

        * Present challenging material

 

Each student comes with his or her own imaginings, fears and abilities. Even with these tolls, the student and I can form the basis for a journey of growth -- we can even have fun doing it!
