Winter Series
In November or December we will start our winter series followed by awards and a lunch.
In order to be counted in the series you must serve as race director one Sunday.
That means you do not get to race on that day.
Newer club members will not be asked to serve as RD.
This applies to the Winter Series only.
Round Robin Event.
We are starting a Match Race to fill idle time prior to the winter series.
All boats will be required to have a sail number. No more Nutn's
Skippers who are not sailing in a given race will act as Race Committee.
We will observe the basic rules of sailing for the purpose of teaching new skippers
the proper way to race sailboats. This will be informative for both competitors and onlookers serving as race committee.
We will abide by the rule of starting boats being in the starting box.
Casual fouls causing altering of course or a light bump will be penalized with a 360 degree turn.
A foul that costs position in a race will be penalized with a 720 degree turn.

 So get your boats ready for some head to head competition.

Non official races
Only 4 skippers showed up for the match races.
Everyone raced everyone else 2 times. Each skipper had a total of 6 races.
Score for a 1st was one point and two points for a second.
At the end of the day scores were as follow:
Dave................. 8 pts
Geroge............. 8 pts
Butch............... 9 pts
Dick ................11 pts
Due to four regular skippers not being present today we decided to start fresh next week.
Beginning Sunday the 13th we will start all over and allow everyone to have a fresh beginning.
So if you want to be involved in the series show up with a boat and get ready to rumble.
Sept 13th 09 Results
This is the official first day of the series
Good winds and a great turnout with 7 skippers.
Dick Ruffe sporting a new boat came out on top with all aces.
Finishing second was Jimmy Carter followed by a three way tie, Bob, Dave and George.
Butch and Mike brought up the rear to keep anyone from sneakin in.
The series will continue next week same time.
