Tutoring

Are you planning to travel to Brazil on vacation and want to learn the language to communicate there? Or you need to  learn Portuguese for professional reasons? No matter what your motive is, I am here to help you learn Brazilian Portuguese. 

Methodology 

My lessons are given in a Power Point presentation. After every class, students take printed materials of the lessons given to study and practice at home. Books are not the primary materials in my classes. Students  learn a lot also watching videos, singing Brazilian songs, playing games and doing dynamic exercises.  

Most of the dialogues practiced in class have a mp3 file created by me that students  take with them to train pronunciation at home. I guarantee you will learn your lessons in a fun environment!

Class hours are 60 minutes in length. I suggest a minimum of two hours per week.

Private or Semi-private classes

• Private: Private  tutorial instruction is tailored to meet the language goal of each student.
  
• Semi-private:  Bring your own group of 2 or 3 people and each student pay a discount rate.

Courses

• Basic, Intermediate and Advanced for adults.
• Brazilian Portuguese for kids.

Fairfax, in Northern Virginia; less than 20 miles from Washington, DC.

About me 

I am Brazilian, with a Ph.D. in Biology, a degree in Education, more than 15 years of experience in teaching and development of educational materials.

 I am fluent in English and Spanish. So, if you are a Spanish speaker and do not have a good fluency in English, you are welcome to have your classes with me in Spanish.
