Shamokin Area Middle/Senior High School Junior High Choral Department 2010-2011
Congratulations on being a part of the choral ensembles of Shamokin Area Schools! The following pages include an outline of events and expectation of students involved in the choral department. Please take time to read the information and put the concert dates on your family calendars immediately in order to avoid scheduling conflicts. Junior High Chorus will be a challenging experience as the students rehearse, perform and learn about vocal technique and choral music. The Junior High Chorus will perform at two concerts: Winter and Spring. The Winter Concert will be Tuesday, December 7th at 7:30pm. The Spring Concert will be Tuesday, May 10th at 7:30pm Attendance at these performances is REQUIRED by all members of the group. The grade for each of these performances accounts for a major part of your student’s grade. Remember, the success of our group will rely heavily on dedication and your support. Students are expected to take music home to practice and make individual progress throughout the year, as well as attend rehearsal during school. Please schedule around the attached dates so that our performance continue to be successful. Thank you in advance for supporting the Junior High Chorus. |
