Graduate Student Mini-Meeting on Operator Theory and Spaces of Analytic Functions

The meeting is a gathering of graduate mathematics students, working in Operator Theory and the theory of spaces of analytic functions (Hardy Spaces, Bergman Spaces, etc.), or closely related fields. The aim is to forge closer links between graduates students in this area, to give students the opportunity to practice giving talks to a forgiving audience, and to promote discussion and collaboration among research students.

The meeting will consist of a number of 45 minute talks given by graduate students, each followed by 15 minutes of questions and discussion. Students wishing to give a talk should submit an abstract to samuel@maths.leeds.ac.uk. We will endeavour to accommodate as many speakers as possible, but should the speaking program become crowded, priority will be given first to students whose research is most closely related to spaces of analytic functions, and then on a first come first served basis. Students not giving a talk are still welcome to attend.

Although the conference itself has no cost attached, no funding has been secured to pay for participants travel, food or accommodation (except that we will provide tea and biscuits!). Anyone interested in attending should contact their home university to see if money is available. No-one is required to formally 'register', but if you plan to attend, please email so we can get an idea of numbers.
