Come along to a Masterclass with the Master of Moodle....Julian Ridden! Learn how to drive Moodle with style. Find out things that you didn’t know Moodle could do. Stretch your skills and capabilities with this versatile platform. Discuss different ways that Moodle can be used. Have fun!

What will be covered in a Masterclass?

The Moodle Masterclass is aimed at those who have been using moodle for a while and want to move to "the next level". It will cover little known tips and tricks for both admins and teachers to get the most out of their moodle sites and course pages.  Areas covered will include:
  • Advanced course ware design. Using labels to create engaging courseware. We will also talk about some master tips and tricks to get the courses working the way you want.

  • Advanced use of tools such as Glossaries, Choice and Database to create engaging, interactive, student driven activities

  • Putting the focus on engagement. how and why to spend the effort on creating engaging sites and course pages

  • A focus on Communication. Why connecting students is important and tools in moodle we can use to do this effectively

  • Looking forward to Moodle 2. A look at a couple of the more advanced features in Moodle 2 that can change significantly how we can use Moodle to deliver our  courseware in a more personalised and targeted manner

What does it cost?

A Masterclass with Julian Ridden will be 2-3 hours in length, and costs $132:00 (incl GST). A bargain for a class with a Master!

I'm only a 'Moodle beginner' - what is available for me?

The masterclasses are not for beginners, and it will be assumed that everyone who has registered knows the basics about Moodle.  If you are a beginner (or feel you might still be at the early level of using Moodle), e-Skills run regular workshops on all aspects of Moodle.  Upcoming workshops are:
  • Getting started with Moodle (Introductory) - Tuesday, 31st August - 9:30am - 12:30pm
  • Moving Forward with your Moodle classroom (Intermediate) - Tuesday, 31st August - 1:30pm - 4:30pm
