Driving is a very diverse sport with disciplines to suit everyone.  Here are brief descriptions of some of the disciplines.
 
 
Show Driving
 
 
Show Driving classes display the performance and gleaming turnouts of equines in harness in the show ring.
 
 
Combined Driving Events
 
 
 
The Driving equivalent to 3-day Eventing, Combined Driving Events comprise Dressage, Marathon and Cone Driving in an exciting 3-phase competition at all levels.
 
 
Endurance Driving
 
 
 For those who enjoy distance driving through Australia's countryside, Endurance driving offers the combination of pleasure with some competition driving.

 

Instruction

 
For the beginner, intermediate or advanced driver, ACDS and its affiliated clubs provide a variety of schools throughout the year on all aspects of driving.

 

Pleasure Driving
 
 
For members who just like to drive for the pleasure of it and who can benefit from advice from more experienced members.
 

 

Park Driving

 

Traditional carriages come together for a drive through a picturesque park for public display.

 Many people enjoy the history of carriages and their restoration. Joining a club gives you the opportunity to meet others and learn more about who to contact about carriage building trades and to become involved.

 

Club activities

 

As a Samford and District Carriage Drivers Inc. member, you are welcome to join in the activities of any ACDS/QCDS affiliated club anywhere in Australia. Activities are advertised in the Queensland newsletter Whip & Wheel and the national Australian Carriage Driving Journal which all members receive.
