The Unknown Secret is a... Truth: Sunrise was only a few hours away and I knew Connor would wake before then. I leaned against the window glaring at his sleeping body. He really did look so much like me, but he had his mother’s eyes and hair—soft, fiery—oh what am I saying. What am I doing here? Ever since I found out I can’t stay away from him—Connor—my son. My eyes closed and I remembered the day all the truth came out. * * * I pushed him away flicking blood off my hand while licking it off my face. Connor fell to the ground clenching his teeth as blood gushed out from beneath his neck. From the corner of my eye Sakiko ran saber raised and yelling at Isaiah to aid Connor. I smirked and raised my hand calling upon the force to push her into a near by tree. She flipped backwards landing on the tree with her feet and pushed off. Again she ran towards me this time throwing her saber. I sighed and used to force to catch it. “Sakiko, love, I don’t have time for this. Just give up. Besides, by the looks of it, your padawan has no idea how to stop the bleeding. Connor needs you.” “Isaiah, put pressure on the wound…” She said staring at me with her ice blue eyes. Isaiah ripped away Connor’s left sleeve revealing a tattoo, one that I was all too familiar with. This was the tattoo that only a select few had. It was the mark of a powerful group of Seven Assassin Lord who governed a special society of beings, which I was the leader of. As far I as I knew; only one of those seven Lords had passed the mark onto the next generation. And the next generation included Sakiko and—I stopped to look closely at Connor—this boy. “It can’t be, not you…” I stalked over to Connor pushing Sakiko out of the way and throwing Isaiah aside, “You can’t be…” I growled picking him up holding him eye level. “What was your mother’s name boy?” He winced and glowered at me, “Eean Tano.” I looked down and laughed quietly, “Eean Tano, that’s right, I remember her. The pathetic Jedi Knight who I ran into on Coruscant late at night. Poor girl should have never been alone.” I smiled crookedly. “What are you getting at?” He spat out. I stepped back letting him fall to the ground. “Well, I never expected you to be born or live long for that matter.” “What the hell are you talking about Derek?” Sakiko shouted kneeling beside Isaiah who seemed to have a broken leg, or something. “He’s my son.” My eyes narrowed as I said the words. Connor looked up shocked unable to speak. Sakiko on the other hand stood up looking from me to Connor. Her face gave off an array of emotions as she took in these words. Slowly she shook her head then looked at me. “I don’t believe you.” “Oh you don’t?” I smirked, “Here take this then and run a DNA test!” I bit my wrist and flung the blood in her direction. “He is my son, making me his father. It’s too bad, for you that is Connor, see my main focus was killing Sakiko, but now, it’s you.” He looked up at me darkly. I must admit, he had my attitude and inner thoughts. Maybe that’s why the mark was passed on to him and not Donovan. It shocks me that he actually became a Jedi instead of a Sith. Oh well, he wont live long enough to take my place in the Assassin Lords Council. I took one last look at Connor then turned to run into the forest leaving nothing but future conflicts behind. * * * My eyes narrowed as Connor turned over on his side and looked at the window. Hah, so he was awake, guess it’s time for me to go. Until next time then.* * * Derek Makoto: Character Profile Connor Makoto-Tano: Character Profile ...Starter of Many Problems |
