Click on the title of this post and scroll down to "Attachments" to view or download the power point presentation that we will use for the Student Forum on Thursday, October 06th! Please look it over and be familiar with the content. I have paper copies to give EACH person, please stop by on Thursday morning!
REMEMBER
BOTH student presenters should share in the presentation
Look at your audience NOT at the Smart Board
Do NOT read the slides word for word - paraphrase what is says, emphasize key points
Take your time - please do NOT rush through the slides - leave them up long enough for students to be able to read them!
Be positive and energetic - if you are not excited about the upcoming spirit week, neither will your audience be excited

The council will hold its first student forum of the school year on Tuesday, September 13th at the beginning of 3rd hour.
ALL senior, junior, and sophomore members have been assigned to a room! In most cases you are in pairs. (Freshmen members will be assigned to a room in January starting with Winterfest.)
Click on the title of this post and scroll down to "Attachments" to view or download the room assignment list and the agenad for the forum.
It is your responsibility to read over the agenda and be prepared to talk about each item intelligently during the forum! Don't go in Tuesday unprepared and try to wing it! You only get to make a first impression once and we want it to be a good one!
I hope to have some presentation slides that each classroom will have on their smart board to help you - will let you know for sure on Monday.
Please stop by Eb's room on Tuesday after second hour to pick up nomination ballots and other supplies - then report directly to yoru student forum room - after the forum return the court nomination ballots to Mr. Eberhard's room - then go to your 3rd hour class - you will NOT be marked absent or tardy, if you are see Eb or Carlson to clear it up!

Attached to this post (click on "Freshmen Orientation 2011") are the documents council members need to review PRIOR to freshmen orientation! This incudes: (1) Your job assignment (see Room Assignment document) (2) Information you need to dicuss in your classroom, so if you have been assigned to an English class you need to look over the notes for ELA 9 only - everyone needs to look over the information on the last couple of pages (see Classroom Notes document) (3) look over the fliers that will be put in student folders so you are informed and can intelligently answer questions the freshmen may have (see Get Involved at SCHS, Academic Credits, Saints Spirit Challenge, & Key Dates documents).
ALL council members (accept freshmen members) need to report to SCHS NO LATER than 5:30 PM - registration begins at 6:00 PM!
Please dress in RED AND BLUE like you would for a red and blue day - face paint, hair dye, tatoos, beads, etc. are optional - it is important that your clothing is clearly RED AND BLUE because this is how freshmen will be able to identify you! (If you have a shirt from a group, like band, that is NOT red and blue please make another choice!)
The only way to be excused from this REQUIRED event is to contact Mr. Eberhard directly at meberhard@ecsd.us - however this should have been done 2 months ago!
