Historical methods
In crafts, needlework, cookery and plant dyeing

Welcome. I hope my site will be of use and pleasure to you.

This is my homepage, where I describe historical methods in different crafts (I use 'craft' as a gathering term for all the themes).

I do this with basis in my own projects, and also show pictures of the processes and the end results.

If you are interested in one of the subjects, wonder, or would just like to know more, do please write me (see 'About me').

You are also welcome to visit my blogs:

- http://saga-i-farver.blogspot.com (In Danish and English - about

my ongoing historical projects and whatever else I do), and

 - http://sagaskaalgaard.blogspot.com (In Danish and English  -

   about my allotment garden)

Why on earth do I occupy myself with that?

But I want to learn the old skills, so they are not forgotten. I want to learn how to create things, and I wish to pass on that knowledge.

I think it is important - nessasary even - to keep the old crafts alive. And then you learn a lot of interesting stuff about history in the process...

Outside the internet I practise my hobby as Living History and experimental archeology.

All the rest...

'All the rest..." is about some of the other stuff I do, such as knitting and making great plans for my allotment garden...
