The funeral homes are located at ___ __in San Antonio. This is a partial list of services offered and price estimates offered by these full service funeral homes. Any death involving the police, sheriff or highway patrol may increase costs. DIRECT BURIAL – NO SERVICE- (no one present): ($765.00), plus $300.00 for the casket. Price includes pickup of the deceased from a home, hospital or nursing home, placement in the casket you purchase and transportation of the casket in a utility van to the cemetery. The casket can be upgraded. DIRECT BURIAL WITH SERVICE: ($1065.00), plus $300.00 for the casket. Price includes pickup of deceased from a home, hospital or nursing home, placement in the casket and transportation of the casket to the cemetery in a hearse, services you arrange, at the gravesite. Regardless of who does the service the Funeral Director must be there by law. Price does not include the casket, viewing, use of chapel, or a procession to the cemetery. The casket can be upgraded. DIRECT CREMATION: ($565.00) includes pickup of deceased from a home, hospital or nursing home, necessary permits, required container, transportation of the body to the crematory, and charges by the crematorium. It does not include the use of the chapel or viewing. In Counties Adjoining Bexar County: (Atascosa, Bandera, Comal, Guadalupe, Kendall, Medina, or Wilson)(approximately 45 miles), the same services listed above for Direct Burial ($1175.00), or Direct Cremation ($875.00), plus a transportation charge of $3.00 per mile from the mortuary to the point of pickup. Additional charges will depend on the number of trips necessary to obtain permits and process death certificates in the other counties. In other counties, additional costs may be incurred, _______ Funeral Home will assist you in negotiating with a local funeral home and will provide advice on your best options. For either burial or cremation, pick up at home is an additional $95.00 (requires 2 transporters)Refrigeration is $65.00 per day (usually a 2 day charge due to time needed to obtain the signed death certificate). Cemeteries: For any type of burial you must negotiate prices with the cemetery of your choice for a burial plot and charges for opening and closing the grave site.
