We recognize the value of establishing
a collaborative relationship to foster the development and promotion of the
occupational safety and health professionals in Hawaii. We have thus formed an Alliance to
provide our members and others with information, guidelines, and access to various
types of resources that will help develop and foster the growth of the Occupational
Safety and Health professional in Hawaii and the improvement of workplace
safety and health.
We work together to achieve the following goals:
- Development and implementation of professional events
such as but not limited to conferences, seminars, networking and social
events, and shared meetings and guest speakers.
- Development and coordination of training and education classes
and programs for development and growth of the OSH profession, its professionals and
students.
- Pursuit of a think tank and grass roots activities to
improve occupational safety and health programs for all industries and
employers.
- Development of leadership and examples for our
community to improve the occupational safety and health in our workplaces.
- Development of networking and communication trees for
the diverse memberships in our organizations.
An implementation team made up of representatives of the
member organizations will meet to develop a plan of action, determine working
procedures, and identify the roles and responsibilities of the participants. We will meet at least quarterly to track and share information on activities and
results in achieving the goals of the Alliance.
