Welcome

Welcome to Sigma Alpha Epsilon, Massachusetts Delta Chapter web-page.  Here you will find current information regarding Chapter activities, information on rush, as well as events for Alumni.

THE TRUE GENTLEMAN

The True Gentleman is the man whose conduct proceeds from good will and an acute sense of propriety, and whose self-control is equal to all emergencies; who does not make the poor man conscious of his poverty, the obscure man of his obscurity, or any man of his inferiority or deformity; who is himself humbled if necessity compels him to humble another; who does not flatter wealth, cringe before power, or boast of his own possessions or achievements; who speaks with frankness but always with sincerity and sympathy; whose deed follows his word; who thinks of the rights and feelings of others, rather than his own; and who appears well in any company, a man with whom honor is sacred and virtue safe.

Mass Delta is around the halfway mark for the 2011-2012 school year. At this point, we can look back at this semester’s greatest accomplishment and what to look forward to as we look ahead towards 2012.

After a successful recruitment process, we have an impressive 20 pledges! We hope that these new men will one day make Mass Delta proud by continuously striving to be True Gentlemen. Of course, as long as Advisor Dick Hooker is here, there’s no question that they’ll be leaving this place better than they found it!

Speaking of the dedicated man himself, we’ll be having an event celebrating Dick’s 60 years of service to Sigma Alpha Epsilon. Moreover, he’ll be celebrating almost 50 years at Number 6! The number of lives that Dick has been able to better is innumerable. For these reasons and so much more, I hope you can join us in April for the event of the year! You will be receiving more information soon!

As always, feel free to stop by the House at any time. We have lunch at noon on weekdays and dinner at 5:30pm Monday thru Thursday. Guests are always welcome.

We’ll have the SAE 5K, along with other events coming up in the spring, so keep your eyes peeled! Until then, I hope you feel good knowing the traditions of Mass Delta are alive and well!

We hope to hear from you soon!
