A Note About Our Religious Education Program
Conversion of our hearts and minds to be followers of Jesus is a lifelong process. We are always on the journey.
At Sacred Heart we work towards our conversion through study and spiritual formation. We offer classroom study and other learning experiences for our parish youth. In addition to academic knowledge of our faith, we offer spiritual development opportunities for youth in the forms of Scripture groups, sacramental preparation, student retreats, and service projects. Participating in weekly liturgy is essential to our conversion process, all families are encouraged to attend Sunday liturgy together.
Rite of Christian Initiation sessions are held for unbaptized youth ages 7-18. Full initiation (baptism, confirmation and Eucharist) takes place at the Easter Vigil.

Sacred Heart Religious Education Program
Welcome to another year
of learning about your faith. Sunday
classes are held in the parish school from 9:15 – 10:15 a.m.;
Monday classes for grades 1 – 5 are held in the school from 3:00 – 4:15
p.m., and for grades 6, 7 and 8 from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. Those enrolled in the confirmation program
will receive their schedule at a later time.
Please note that the time of Mass has changed from 10:00 to 10:30
on Sunday. The 8:00 Mass will stay the same. Also, we have decided to reduce the tuition
for classes to $50.00 per family. We
want all to be able to attend without hardship. Weather related no school announcements are made on Channel 7 as well as online at www.TheBostonChannel.com
Sacrament Preparation for First Reconciliation and First Eucharist
Preparation sessions for
First Reconciliation will be held on Sunday, October 23 and November 6 and 20
at 4:00 p.m. in the lower
church. All those who are in grade 2 or
above who have not made their first confession must attend these sessions with
a parent. First Reconciliation will be held on Saturday, December 3 at 9:30 and 12:30.
Groups will be assigned at a later date.
Preparation sessions for
First Eucharist will be held on Sunday February 26 and March 11 at 4:00 p.m. in the lower church and on
March 25 in the Parish
Center. First Eucharist will be celebrated on May 5
at the 4:00 Mass and on May
6 at the 10:30 Mass. Rehearsals will be held on Monday, April 30
at 3:15 and 6:30 p.m. Our First Communion family breakfast will be
held on Sunday, May 20 following the 10:30
Mass.
