There is no cost to use this program, yet it makes money for our school. The Scrip program allows you to make purchases in stores with scrip cards or online with the E-scrip online mall. Sacajawea earned $10,000 last year through scrip sales. If you buy food, clothes, books, music, gifts, or coffee you should be buying scrip!

How Scrip Cards/ Certificates Work:

Scrip is a gift card or gift certificate from participating grocery stores and area retailers including PCC, QFC, Fred Meyer, Safeway, Starbucks, Café Javasti, iTunes, Sand Point Grill, and more (watch for Holiday Scrip coming in October). The Sacajawea PTA purchases Scrip from merchants in bulk, at a discount. The PTA then sells the Scrip to you at face value. The school gets a percentage of the scrip value ranging from 5% to 10% per dollar spent.

How Can I Participate?

• Buy scrip cards at the scrip table at school M/W mornings(9:15-9:45) outside the school office, Tues afternoons(4:20-4:40) outside the school office, or Thurs afternoons(3:15-3:45) on the Lower Playground.
• Send in the Scrip Order form that comes home monthly in the Tuesday Take Home. We will deliver your cards via kid-mail (your child’s take home folder) or hold them for you at the scrip table.
• Know what you want but can’t find your form? More forms are available here and in the scrip file in the office.
• Order online by downloading and completing the order form and attach to an email to skrinne@comcast.net.

With E-Scrip:

Want to contribute and still use your credit card? E-scrip is the answer for you.

• E-Scrip at the store: Register you Safeway club card at http://www.escrip.com using our Group ID 8566338 and when you shop at Safeway Sacajawea earns a percentage of your monthly purchases.
• E-Scrip online shopping: Shop at the e-scrip online mall and 1-16% of your purchase comes back to the school. Participating merchants include: Nordstrom (6.6%), drugstore.com (6%), Eddie Bauer (4.8%), hotels.com (3.6%), REI (3%), Macy's (2.4%) and more.
