WHY THERE?

  • Cullinan Mine (previously known as the Premier Mine) est. 1912
  • some of the world's most fabulous diamonds have been found there, including the Cullinan Diamond, the largest diamond ever discovered
  • since being established, the Cullinan Mine has produced 119 781 048 carats
  • it still produces some 25% of the world's finest gem quality diamonds
  • visitors can view expert cutters and polishers at work, take part in educational tours, and of course buy some diamonds ;)
  • apart from visiting the mine it is well worth walking in the village of Cullinan,  especially visit St George's Anglican Church, McHardy House Mini Museum and Cullinan Square
